St Anne's Church is made up of an active group of people who love God and want to serve our Community. Our services are modern and informal and we love to get everyone involved.
All ages have a part to play at St Anne's Church and there are groups and activities for everyone, and because Church is not just about Sunday, there are lots of activities going on throughout the week. Why not join us and get involved?
St Anne's Church Edgeside takes the safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults very seriously.
Please contact the Diocese of Manchester Safeguarding Officer Abbey Clephane-Wilson on 0161 828 1451
or Patricia Bernard on 01706 218707 if you have any Safeguarding concerns about the parish.
Our Vicar Rod comes from Macclesfield and was a Teacher
for 16 years before being Ordained. Married to Jill, they have
two grown up children and one grandchild.
Coming to Edgeside in 2003, Rod loves living in the valley.
Believing passionately in the engagement of Christians in the community, he is commited to the work of The White Horse Project, The Magdalene Project and serves as a School Governor.
He has a vision for a relevant and growing church,
inclusive of all ages and wants to see lives transformed
through real encounters with God.
Hello, I'm Kate. I'm the Families Worker here at St. Anne's.
My background is in Youth and Schools work and
I studied Art at University.
I am responsible for starting and running Children's and Families events such as Patter & Natter, Messy Church, Craft Group,
The Saturday Experiment and working alongside the
Fun 4 Families Team.
I also edit and maintain our Facebook and Twitter pages.
Amanda has been an active and committed member at St Anne's
for some 17 years and has served the Church as Churchwarden
for 7 of those years and is also actively involved in a Bible Study Group.
A retired Librarian, Amanda serves Rossendale
as a Borough Councillor and supports the work of the
Whitewell Bottom Community Centre and the
First Choice Credit Union in Haslingden.
I've known and been associated with St Anne's Church since I was a small child. I went to St Anne's Primary School and attended Sunday School here.
Although I spent quite a few years living in Stacksteads my attachment to this Church remained.
When I moved back to the area I rekindled the link to 'My Church.'
I've had the privilege to be able serve St Anne's
for several years as Churchwarden.
